Meet The Team
Annie-Kate Williams - Pastor (primarily of The Thing) - is currently on maternity leave
Annie-Kate began her time at Mornington in 2018 as an intern, finishing her training as an ordained minister at the beginning of 2020. The main focus of her role is to explore new ways of being church. There are some small gatherings happening which fall under the name ‘The Thing’ (this name will change in time!). She is passionate about new ways of being church, especially for those who do not connect or are not connected with church currently.
Annie-Kate grew up in West Otago before studying in Dunedin. She then worked at Camp Columba, as the ministry camps coordinator. After this Annie-Kate and her husband Cecil worked and travelled for nearly two year before coming back to Dunedin. They have a little boy who is also called Cecil.
Dania Read - Pastoral Care Coordinator
Dania served the Mornington Church as an elder for a number of years before moving to Hawkes Bay at the end
Gabe Hawker - Pastor (Youth)
Gabe is a recently ordained minister who joined our team at the beginning of 2020.
Prior to his ministry training he spent the past 15 years in various youth work roles, most significantly spending 10 years at Hope Presbyterian Church in Christchurch. These experiences have shaped Gabe’s leading in ministry. He has passion for people to both, know they are loved, and to embrace who God has called them to be.
Gabe’s role plays to his strengths, working with people and with young people.
Gabe is married to Sheree and together they have a wonderful daughter Laura.
Linda Dunn - Administrator
Linda is a member of the Highgate Presbyterian Church and The Seedling Missional Community in South Dunedin. She works half-time in the office and can be contacted there on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9am – 3pm.
